I am Saurabh Katiyar a thinker, a teacher, and the author of The Awakening and Breaking the Self Illusion. I was not born with a label, a role, or an identity. Saurabh was born free as were you. But the moment we entered this world, society began shaping us. They gave us names, beliefs, boundaries, and expectations before we even had the chance to ask who we truly were.
They called it education, but it was conditioning. Told us to follow the crowd, obey authority, and never question the path laid out for us. They taught us that success is a high-paying job, a shiny degree, a socially accepted lifestyle. They never told us that in chasing those things, we lose the most valuable part of ourselves our truth.
The Awakening and Breaking the Self Illusion is not a self-help book. It is a declaration of war against the mental and emotional chains that bind us. It is a raw, fearless exploration into the illusions society builds around us and within us. It’s a call to all those who’ve ever felt misplaced, unheard, or unseen in a world that rewards conformity.
This book urges you to unlearn everything they taught you to believe about who you are. It invites you to destroy the false self the one built on fear, guilt, pressure, and comparison and return to your original self: pure, limitless, and powerful. You are not your past, your name, your degree, or your job title. You are a soul with infinite potential.
This journey is not easy. Breaking illusions requires courage. Awakening the self demands honesty. But once you strip away the labels and noise, you’ll find the freedom that no job, no title, and no approval can ever give. True power lies in knowing who you are when nothing is left to prove.
About Saurabh Katiyar
I come from humble beginnings. I’m the only child of my parents my father, Nirmal Katiyar, is a hardworking farmer, and my mother is a devoted homemaker who supports him in all his work. I draw my strength and values from them.
Academically, I graduated from CSJM University, Kanpur. I’m pursuing post-graduation from I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University and am also a student of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Alongside my academic journey, I’ve spent over 6 years as a commerce faculty member, teaching Class 11th, 12th, CA Foundation, and CA Intermediate levels.
But beyond degrees and experience, my purpose is awakening. I’m not just here to teach syllabus I’m here to open minds. My second book, The Fading Bond Between Teacher and Student, is also in progress inspired by the changing dynamics of education and the lost connection between teachers and learners.
