Dr. Satya Prakash Sethy is a distinguished writer, storyteller, poet, essayist, grammarian, and laureate who contributes to both Odia and English literature. A versatile literary figure, he has authored over 25 books spanning short stories, essays, poetry, and novels. His notable works include Gaonru Pherichi Gaon Hajichhi, Phusia Maa, Nila Gaganar Pathika, Paichha, Tulasi, Shunshan Rati, Akat, Atma Jeunthi Katha Kahe, Samayara Arapari, Manapara, Dhwani O Pratudhwani, Jatiya O Antarjatiya Diwas, and Uttansha. His novelistic contributions include Parityakta Kothi, Chandakare Gote Rati, Jibanara Dipakha, Mun Ranu Kahuchhi, Amruta Nilaya, and Anushka. He has also penned Capsule Course of English Grammar, reflecting his expertise in the subject.

Born in 1968, Dr. Sethy hails from Odisha. His father, Purusottam Sethy, served as an MLA from Bhandari Pokhari (1980–85). He pursued an M.A. in Odia and a Diploma in Cooperative Management and later qualified for lectureship through UGC. Currently, he serves as a Sub-Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies under the Odisha State Government.
